Artist Statement
My art is a fusion of mixed media, combining 3D environments with live-action video shooting. I draw inspiration from the vibrant and culturally diverse Petaling Street in Malaysia, a place that exudes a sense of mystique and captures the essence of cyberpunk aesthetics.

Through my work, I aim to convey the rich and multifaceted elements of Malaysia, intertwining them with thought-provoking narratives. The central theme that drives my creative exploration is the concept of clones replacing humans. It is an exploration of identity, authenticity, and the profound question of what it means to be human.

In my artistic process, I construct immersive 3D environments that serve as the backdrop for my live-action video footage. These environments, inspired by the dynamic streets of Petaling Street, become the stage where my narratives unfold. I incorporate elements of futuristic technology and urban decay, creating a visual tapestry that embodies the essence of cyberpunk.

The stories I tell within these virtual worlds revolve around the idea that only through experiencing death can one truly be qualified to be a real human being. I delve into the complexities of human existence, exploring the intersections of life and mortality, and the profound impact that these experiences have on our sense of self.

By combining the visual language of cyberpunk with the cultural and architectural elements of Malaysia, I seek to create a unique and captivating aesthetic that resonates with viewers. I want to challenge societal norms, provoke contemplation, and prompt discussions about identity, the boundaries of humanity, and our place within an increasingly technological world.

Through my art, I aim to engage the audience on an intellectual and emotional level, urging them to reflect upon their own humanity, the fragility of life, and the intricate tapestry of cultures that shape our world. My work serves as a catalyst for dialogue and introspection, inviting viewers to question their own perceptions and beliefs.

In the end, I aspire to create immersive experiences that transport viewers to a realm where the boundaries between reality and fiction blur, and where they can contemplate the profound questions that lie at the core of our existence. My art is an invitation to explore, question, and reimagine what it means to be human in an ever-evolving world.
